Five Weekend Activities in Pittsburgh, September 16-18

It will be a festive weekend around the ‘Burgh, with celebrations of beer, music, the outdoors and diversity in the arts.

Friday night at 8 o'clock, PNC Park on the North Shore will host Elton John for the second and final time on his "Farewell Yellow Brick Road: The Final Tour."

This show is part of a much longer farewell tour that began in 2018 (and included another Pittsburgh show) but was disrupted by the widespread shutdown of entertainment venues.

Sir Elton performs songs from his extensive back catalog, which dates all the way back to 1970's "Your Song." Even though there isn't a support act, surprise visitors have shown up for a few shows.

Music during the festival will take place at Highmark Stadium in Station Square between the hours of 1 and 10 p.m. weekend days, specifically Saturday and Sunday.
